Management
As a pastor, I see the management of a church as a sacred responsibility. It calls me to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with God every day. I believe that managing the church with a godly heart means being diligent and orderly, always creating a space where even the quietest voices are heard. As I see it, this kind of leadership not only strengthens unity but also helps a church serve more effectively together.
1 Peter 5:2-3
Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.

“He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?”
— Micah 6:8
Let all things be done decently and in order.
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
— 1 Corinthians 14:40; James 1:19
These Scriptures reflect how I understand godly church management. In 1 Peter 5:2-3, I’m called to lead willingly and humbly, as a shepherd under God’s authority. Micah 6:8 reminds me that true leadership is grounded in justice, mercy, and humility. 1 Corinthians 14:40 challenges me to do everything with order and care. And James 1:19 teaches me to be quick to listen, making room for every voice. Together, these verses show me that managing the church is a sacred trust, one that must be built on godly character, guided by wisdom, and lived out in love.
Here I am leading a breakout session at our church board meeting to strategize for outreach and in-reach. Each team was given the opportunity to create, propose, and enact new creative plans for advancing the ministry of our church.

Here I am having a fun meeting with church leaders for advancing and uniting the local ministries in our church.
Back in the fall of 2022 our church board organized a work-bee to repaint our local clothing ministry. This provided an opportunity for members to serve together to help keep God’s work presentable and in order.
Management Training
As a pastor of a church with an Adventist school, I recently completed the member and leadership training for the purpose of strengthening my understanding of managing our local church school.

God is a God of order. Everything connected with heaven is in perfect order; subjection and thorough discipline mark the movements of the angelic host. Success can only attend order and harmonious action. God requires order and system in His work now no less than in the days of Israel. All who are working for Him are to labor intelligently, not in a careless, haphazard manner. He would have his work done with faith and exactness, that He may place the seal of His approval upon it.
